Instructor Bio:

Health and fitness have always been a priority in my life. As a teenager, I rigorously trained as a student of the Alabama Ballet Company under Wes Chapman and Roger Van Fletteren. While classical ballet and pointe were my primary focus, I also studied modern dance, jazz, yoga, and nutrition. Proper technique, physical health, and injury prevention were emphasized in all of my dance training and inspired my passion for health-oriented fitness and movement. I am always searching for the “why” behind an exercise, so I have an extremely well-rounded knowledge of different types of physical activity.

After deciding to pursue visual art in college and stepping away from professional dancing, I continued my yoga practice, and soon discovered barre fitness. I love that barre builds upon a mind-body connection, strengthens the muscles of the whole body, uses dance-based movements that I know are safe and effective, and emphasizes form and health. I finally earned my first Barre Instructor Certification in 2016 and have loved teaching ever since. When I found Bounce fitness in 2017, I knew it was the perfect, fun, cardio addition to my barre and yoga practices. Since 2016 I’ve continued my fitness and wellness education, adding certifications in the trademarked BarreAmped method, multiple styles of bounce fitness, vinyasa yoga, and yoga for the chakras which includes training in essential oil and crystal therapies.

My favorite thing about teaching fitness and wellness is the community of strong individuals that I have been so fortunate to be a part of. As I continue along my journey, my fellow instructors and clients constantly show me the power of positivity, encouragement, and acceptance. I feel so grateful that my knowledge and love of movement, exercise, tarot, and holistic wellness are helping to empower others in healthy ways every time I teach a class, just as the strength of the clients I teach inspires me.
